What is Legacy Library?

Legacy Library is the go-to resource for researching and reconnecting to African American Genealogy and African Ancestry.

Most of the research tutorials, workshops, and even books out there are not for us and they rarely focus on the challenges that we have as African American Genealogy Researchers.  They have a chapter here and there, but that's about it.

Genealogy Librarian, Aisha Abdul Rahman launched Legacy Library in an effort to

bring our knowledge, tools, and resources together. The objective is to create a community of African American Genealogy researchers as well as a digital library that highlights what we need to know to break through and reach our goals.
